FAQs
What do facilitators do?
The word for facilitator comes from the Latin word facile, or to make easy. And that’s largely the benefit facilitators provide: I make it easy for you and your group to do what you do best! Think of it this way, if we were at a feast, I would prepare the room, ambience, and set the table- it is up to you and your team to eat the food and enjoy!
What’s the benefit of hiring an external facilitator?
Facilitation is a powerful skill that when used well, is actual magic for the participants. While there are many types of facilitators and many internal to the organization, there is a unique power that comes through a third party. The third party allows for freer engagement and deeper participation because there is no agenda. The goal of facilitation is to meet the goals for the gathering and do what is best for the group. For leaders, hiring a third party allows for actual participation in the the discussion without pushing an agenda or responsibility.
What kind of engagements do you design and facilitate?
I specialize in strategy/ alignment sessions, innovation projects (specifically design thinking), and collaboration brainstorming sessions whether in person or virtual.
However, I have designed and facilitated many unique gatherings and if I don’t have the tools to meet your needs, I know people who do!
Schedule a free discovery call today and let’s see how I can serve your group!
What is the process to work with you?
It all starts with a discovery call! That is a free consultation where I will ask questions to learn more about the opportunity at hand and determine the best way to move forward.
I will then develop a proposal with all the details for you! That will include a quote, an outline of the designed experience, and other pertinent details.
Included in that will be the delivery method where I will either facilitate the experience for you, I will coach you (or members of the group) on how to facilitate, or I will consult you on the design and how you might implement it.
Everything is dependent on your unique needs and desires!
I look forward to working with you!
How long would each engagement last?
This all depends on the scope of work and the timelines for each experience. We’ll be able to work out an indicative timeline when we have our discovery call.
How much do you charge?
Every job is different, so I’ll provide a quote based on the scope of work required, keeping in mind my skills and experience.
Note that extra charges may apply for items such as travel expenses, and any expenses related to your project. If required to work weekends, there will be a 15% surcharge.
What is your Meyers Briggs/ Enneagram type?
I am an ENFP and Enneagram 7- so if you work with me, there will be guaranteed energy and FUN!
